Graham joined the Cornwall Hospice Care team in September 2016 as Finance Director, with responsibility for finance and IT. Prior to that Graham spent five years at the Financial Reporting Council in London as their Finance Director, leading the business support and HR teams. Earlier in his career, Graham worked for Group 4 Security, Kraft Foods and Xansa plc in various finance roles both in the UK and overseas. He was CFO of GS1 UK between 2004 and 2011. Graham has a degree in Finance and Accountancy and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. As well as being a Member for the Special Partnership Trust, Graham has been a non–executive Director of Magna Housing Association in Dorchester since February 2016, chairing their Finance Committee.
Graham is married with two grown up boys, and recently relocated to Cornwall to experience the fabulous quality of life on offer here.
Bob has worked in special schools for over 40 years, having had his first job as an Unqualified Teacher in 1973. He has taught in London, Hereford and Bristol, moving to his first Headship in 1993. This was in a primary school for children with physical impairments and associated learning difficulties. In 2005 this was judged as Outstanding by Ofsted, and was included in the 2005 Ofsted Report on the Most Successful Schools of the year. Moving to an SLD school judged as failing in 2006, he helped steer this to an Ofsted Outstanding judgement by January 2013.
Bob has always been a strong believer in personal professional development, and gained a M.Ed in Special Education from Birmingham University in 1988, and a Ed.D from the University of the West of England in 2005. His Doctoral Dissertation was on the work and practice of a class of children with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties: this is a particular passion of his. He is also interested in Alternative and Augmentative Communication, and Transformational Change.
Victoria is an associate solicitor at Browne Jacobson LLP specialising in providing education law advice to schools and academies. She has held school governor positions since 2010. She was Chair of Governors of Doubletrees School for 4 years and remains a trustee of the Moor and Coastal Partnership Trust, a cooperative learning trust.
Sue was CEO of Newquay Education Trust (NET) from April 2016 until September 2017. The Trust comprises: Newquay Tretherras (Cornwall’s largest secondary Academy); Newquay Junior (Cornwall’s largest Junior Academy); and Brannel School (a sponsored secondary Academy). It is responsible for the education of over 2800 students. Sue has considerable leadership experience, having been Deputy Headteacher of Penair School; a School Improvement Partner in Cornwall; Headteacher of Plymouth High School (1999 – 2007) and of Newquay Tretherras (2007 – 2016). She oversaw very successful programmes of school improvement and has led schools through Good and Outstanding OFSTED inspections. Sue was an Executive Headteacher for two years and became a National Leader of Education in 2009. Sue’s areas of expertise are: leadership development; cross phase school improvement; leading collaborations and multi academy trusts. She was Chair of Cornwall’s Sixth Form Together Partnership and the Kernow Teaching School Alliance. Sue is now the School Improvement Lead for NET.
Chair of Trustees
Lisa taught in primary schools for over twenty years. Her roles have included Assistant Headteacher, Headteacher and Executive Headteacher of Ladock and Veryan Church of England Schools which are part of the St Piran's Cross Multi Academy Trust. Lisa graduated from Keele University in psychology and biology but also has a passion for developing literacy skills and worked for a number of years as a Leading Literacy teacher and Associate Literacy consultant for the Local Authority.
